LIPSTICK BRUTALISM is a (fictional) art movement imagined for the (late) 21st century. These textile works combine a perfumed palette with a monumental scale and incorporate geometric patterns with photo prints to evoke an ersatz nature experience for the great indoors. Little did I know, in the dept of winter 2019/2020 when I started crafting these pieces, that spring would find us confined and homebound, the "nature nostalgia" predicted for a dystopian near future having already arrived with a vengeance.
